As reported in previous Basler eNewsletters, the GenICam standard, along with all of its advantages, is being adopted for Camera Link cameras. This technology is already available in the Basler aviator camera series, and National Instruments, Matrox, and Dalsa have adapted Basler’s prototype implementation of "GenICam over Camera Link" to their hardware and software solutions.

Visitors to the EMVA booth at the VISION show in Stuttgart in November 2009 could see the Basler aviator and other camera and frame grabber hardware in a live demonstration where the adaptations worked perfectly.
