One important field of application for our highly flexible Basler IP cameras is video surveillance outdoors and under tough indoor conditions. To be able to offer you optimum quality and security in such areas, our product portfolio now includes several protective housing variants for your IP cameras.
All accessories available at Basler are tested for functionality and easy installation with our IP cameras. Thus, our customers can always be sure to benefit from full functionality and ease of use.

At the moment, our current accessories portfolio includes three different protective housings for indoor and outdoor use:

A stylish protective housing especially designed to fit our IP camera's length

This 24 VAC housing impresses with both its compact design and high functionality. This IP66 compliant housing's external dimensions are 112 mm (H) x 120 mm (W) x 328 mm (L) (4.4'' x 4.7'' x 12.9''), and it allows operation of our IP camera at temperatures from -20°C to +50°C (-4°F/+122°F). The housing is fabricated from aluminum, thus ensuring optimum heat dissipation. A solid adapter plate transfers heat from the camera to the housing, making a separate fan unnecessary. The integrated heater prevents moisture buildup within the housing. The front glass is heat-resistant, special-purpose glass with a thickness of 3 mm. The special wall bracket allows concealed, vandal-proof cabling.
This housing comes with an integrated AC/DC converter for powering the camera, a mounting plate including screws, a sunshield, integrated heating, and a wall bracket.
In 2010, the housing will be available in white.

Videotec Verso Cool protective housing

The VT Verso Cool housing is a special housing for extreme ambient temperatures. This IP44 compliant housing's external dimensions are 120 mm (W) x 156 mm (H) x 466 mm (L) (4.7'' x 6.1'' x 18.3''), and it comes with an integrated heater and fan. Made from rugged technopolymer, this IK10-compliant and certified housing withstands high mechanical stress. The housing allows operating temperatures from -20°C to +50°C (-4°F/+122°F). This model comes with all necessary accessories including a sunshield, integrated heating, and a fan as well as a wall bracket allowing concealed, vandal-proof cabling.

Videor protective housing

The third housing variant we offer at Basler is a recently developed Videor housing. This IP66 certified housing is equipped with an integrated fan and heating. It has a 21 watt splitter for high-PoE applications. The robust aluminum housing has external dimensions of 130 mm (W) x 131 mm (H) x 445 mm (L) (5.1'' x 5.2'' x 17.5''). With this housing, our IP cameras can be operated at temperatures from -20°C to +50°C (-4°F/+122°F). This housing comes with a sunshield, integrated heating, and a fan as well as a wall bracket allowing concealed cabling.
