General Information about Display Inspection

In Display Inspection we market inspection solutions and services for display glass, the most important initial product for the flatscreen industry.
The production for these screens requires several process steps. For each of these steps manufacturers need different inspection solutions.

Currently Basler is concentrating on the quality control of non-structured bare glasses and colour-filters. The task of inspecting these materials is to reliably recognize defects at a size of less than 20 µm on up to four square metre-large glass substrates. This can be compared to a human finding every defect with the size of a "grain of dust" on a football field in 20 seconds.
