USB3 Vision Standard Now in the Home Stretch

Currently, the committee is working very hard at putting the final touches on the USB3 Vision standard in order to have it completed and ready for presentation at the 2012 VISION trade show in Stuttgart this November. For instance, in September there will be an important technical meeting attended by all involved manufacturers during which interoperability tests will be conducted. When it comes to accessories, quite a few milestones have already been achieved. These include determining the specification for USB3 Vision cables and how their conformity will be tested. The already close collaboration between camera and vision library manufacturers has been further intensified with the goal of being able to offer compliant solutions with the greatest possible customer benefit right from the start.

And what’s going on at Basler?

The development of the standard is thus right on schedule. As already announced at last year’s VISION trade show, Basler will be presenting many cameras that comply with the USB3 Vision standard at this year’s exhibition. More information on this will be available on our website shortly before the trade show.
              Did you know?

This year, the VISION trade show will be held for the first time in Hall 1, the largest hall on the exhibition grounds. This means that exhibitors will now all be under one roof and no longer distributed across two smaller halls. Basler will be setting up a new, even larger booth in the center of the hall and close to the marketplace. We look forward to seeing you there at Booth 1E42!
