Basler AG today announced preliminary figures for the first six months of 2013. In the first half year, the group's incoming orders amounted to Euro 33.3 mill. (prev. year: Euro 28.7 mill., +16 %). The group sales were Euro 32.2 mill., up 28 % above the previous year's figure of Euro 25.2 mill.. Compared with the prev. year, the gross profit margin increased by 6 percentage points to 51 % (prev. year: 45 %).

In the first six months of 2013, Basler generated earnings before taxes (EBT) for the group of Euro 3.9 mill. compared to Euro 2.2 mill. in 2012 (+77 %). The pre-tax margin was 12 % (prev. year: 9 %).

Given these results and despite the mediocre macro-economic environment, Basler AGs performance during the first half year was above plan. Looking forward we expect to outperform our guidance for the fiscal year 2013. From now on we forecast sales between Euro 63-65 mill. (was Euro 60-63 mill.) and pre-tax margin between 10-11 % (was 8-10%).

The final figures for the first six months of fiscal year 2013 will be published on August 8, 2013.
