Innovative Real-Time High-Speed ANPR System with Basler ace
To overcome the shortcomings of Singapore’s existing traffic monitoring system, Basler customer Optasia Systems developed a real-time, high-speed ANPR system using Basler ace cameras with Sony’s IMX249 CMOS sensor. The system software called Optasia IMPSTM Video Analytics LPR was programmed with Basler’s pylon SDK. The IMX249’s high dynamic range allows the camera to operate efficiently in the difficult light conditions and captures images using a technique known as exposure bracketing. Our Success Story describes in detail how the images are captured, cropped and processed for license plate recognition.

Richard Goh, CEO of Optasia Systems, fully supports his team’s decision to select Basler ace cameras for this project. “We are very satisfied with the camera performance, as well as the excellent technical support given by Basler’s support team during the integration phase.”
