              Basler Continues Overseas Expansion With New Offices in Japan and Malaysia

              Basler has set up new representative offices in Japan and Malaysia, as part of plans to expand its presence in Asia Pacific. Adding to its subsidiary offices in Singapore and Taiwan, as well as its representative offices in China and Korea, the new offices in Japan and Malaysia will strengthen the brand's presence in the region.

              Chong Yoon Foo, Managing Director of Basler Asia, said: “We are thrilled to open these new representative offices. This strategic expansion not only reinforces our sales support to these high-potential markets, it is also a logical advance towards our corporate vision and growth strategy. The establishment of our new representative offices also sustains our position as a leader in the world market of vision technology. These new offices in Japan and Malaysia will focus on delivering strong support to our local distributors as well as providing superior service and timely response to local markets”.

              Basler has appointed Mr. Jun Sakurai as Key Account Manager and Mr. Naonori Inagaki as the Application Engineer for the Japan representative office in Tokyo. Mr. Sakurai has more than 7 years of far-reaching sales experience in the imaging sensor industry and Mr. Inagaki brings deep engineering experience with Basler technology over the past 17 years.

              Based in Penang, the Malaysia representative office is led by Mr. Sam Chua, the Key Account Manager, who has more than 12 years of broad sales experience in the industry. The primary mission of the Malaysia office will be overseeing sales activities in Malaysia, India, Vietnam and Thailand.

              Both representative offices will kick off their official operations on December 1st, 2014.
