Award for the Basler ToF Camera — Automate Chicago was a Major Success

This year's Automate Show, which ran from March 23-26 in Chicago, was a complete success! Despite a blizzard in the Chicago metropolitan area that limited air travel, the trade show marked impressive visitor numbers. We were there with our own booth stand as well.

Visitors showed strong interest in the Basler products we were presenting. Beyond the new ace and dart models, the new Basler beat area scan camera series and the Basler Lenses proved the biggest draws.

Automate Chicago is an industry trade showheld every other year. It is the biggest trade show in North America dedicated specifically to automation technology. During the show, trade magazine Vision Systems Design presented its first annual Innovation Awards. The Basler Time-of-Flight camera, a development from the Basler Lab, earned the Gold Award.

New Business Development Product Manager Phillip Dale accepted the award on behalf of the entire ToF team. He says: “It was an honour to receive this Innovation Award on behalf of the ToF camera development team at Basler headquarters. This award and the general feedback from users at the show strongly support our belief in the potential for Time of Flight technology in machine vision applications.”

All in all it was a successful show from start to finish. We are already looking forward to the next edition!
