Basler Expands Camera Driver Package pylon by Adding a Twain Adapter
Ahrensburg, 31 October 2008 – A Twain Adapter is the latest expansion of Basler’s camera driver package pylon. Twain is a well established standard format for image data exchange between hardware devices and the application, such as a scanner and Microsoft Word.
The new pylon Twain driver can work with all Basler Gigabit Ethernet or IEEE 1394-b cameras. A fluent live image of the selected camera and the availability of all camera parameters allows one to find the best setup. By pressing the ‘SCAN’ button the grabbed image is directly forwarded to the application. No programming or additional adjustments are required. Now all advantages of this common Twain format can be used for Basler Cameras as well.
