Basler's older camera models transmit image data in an RS-644 LVDS format. Many of our newer cameras transmit data in Camera Link® LVDS format. Some users want to take advantage of the advanced features offered on our newer cameras, but need the data output in the older RS-644 LVDS format. Basler can supply an interface converter to change the newer Camera Link output format to RS-644 LVDS. The converter is called a "k-BIC".

The layout of the outputs on the k-BIC matches the layout of the outputs on Basler's RS-644 LVDS cameras. This means that camera users who are familiar with interfacing our RS-644 cameras with a frame grabber will have no trouble when they use a Camera Link camera along with an interface converter.
