Basler is one of the three largest manufacturers of digital cameras for industrial applications in the world. Manufacturers of equipment, machines, and plants incorporate our cameras into their own products. Our premium cameras are predominantly used in industrial mass production, medical technology, the life sciences, and intelligent traffic systems. 

Since 2008, we have also offered Basler cameras in the growth market for digital video monitoring cameras. With Internet protocol based cameras, or IP cameras, our customers can transmit high-resolution digital image data via Ethernet networks. Our IP cameras have video analysis features which perform important monitoring functions even prior to the image transfer. This results in a significant reduction of the data volume to be transmitted, and consequently less memory bandwidth is required.

 

Basler AG also produces solutions for automated quality checking in industrial mass production. Our target market is the LCD industry, where we are the global market leader in the field of plate glass surface analysis.
